Menus Your Guests Will Enjoy!

Fussy Food!

Food tasting for your Wedding is great fun especially when you get to try everything that is on the menu. It’s a day when you and your spouse get to try the delicacies that your venue or caterer provides and from which you have to decide on the final menu for the day.

Depending on your budget you have varied options to choose, from a ‘sit down meal’, to an al fresco BBQ.  It’s always good to choose dishes which you know people will like and a good idea to have one vegetarian dish.

Choose wisely…… it is  your wedding day and you want to be extravagant but remember you have a lot of mouths to feed so it’s a wise choice to think about your food options. A bad choice of menu becomes wasted food and means hungry guests!

Check food allergies too as people can be intolerant to certain food groups and have reactions to others.  An idea would be to ask guests to inform you prior to the Wedding perhaps on the RSVP invite.

Buffet Food as a main?

Buffet food is always a good idea as it allows Guests to choose from a variation of dishes and portion sizes. It’s also a good way to get your guests up and about and mingling with others.
You could have a variation or 3 of each, Starters, Mains and Desserts allowing guests to choose from either, also enabling you to include a few more dishes that are a bit more exciting. Remember; allow time for this as it would take around 45 minutes for everyone to serve their own food.

Canapés and light nibbles.

Dainty mouth sized nibbles, also known as canapés can be served hot or cold so remember to provide small forks or cocktail sticks for the warmer selection.   Ideally choosing non drippy foods and easy to hold foods are a good choice allowing your guests to nibble happy!

Chocolate Fountains

Everyone loves chocolate and a chocolate fountain on your wedding day will go down a treat. You can have all different shapes and sizes creating a memorable experience for your guests. Entertain them with strawberries, profiteroles, marshmallows and anything else you fancy for your dipping purposes!

Al fresco BBQ or Hog Roast?

Pig roast on a spit on a, barbequed skewered vegetables, a wide selection of breads, dips and an array of delights are all great ways to enjoy outdoor Wedding dining. Your guests will be impressed with the unique BBQ experience. (Especially if it rains!!!- bear in mind the weather and time of year when making your decision!)
