Wine Corkage
Weight up the cost
We all think that buying our own alcohol for the Wedding Day is a great idea for cutting costs; however most venues will charge corkage which sometimes works out more expensive than just ordering drinks at the venue itself.
Perhaps ask the venue in advance what they charge and see if negotiation is available regarding corkage before you shell out extra money that you have not budgeted for. This way you can definitely put your money where your money is... and drink it!
Champagne, Cocktail or Cava?
Your celebratory drinks don’t always have to blow the budget. If champagne is too expensive but you do want something sparkly, how about asking the venue to make champagne cocktails.
You will only need half the amount of champagne and the drinks can include fruit juices and other refreshing combinations to impress your wedding guests. Alternatively, you can opt for Cava which is an equivalent to champagne but a lot cheaper.
