Give a Bridal Speech They Won't Forget!

And now the Bride will Speak?

Times have certainly changed and many brides feel an obligation to speak at their wedding, either through personal choice or in replacement of the Father, or of an anxious Groom, or even an addition to both. Why Not?

So to make your speech memorable Fussy have come up with 5 top tips for helping you plan that speech they won’t forget.

1, Preparation is the key!.... prepare your speech well in advance and clarify with your spouse who will be saying what to your guests.

2, Practice makes perfect!.. So practice your speech at home and in front of a small gathering so you can get reactions to any punch lines. After you have given any punch line, remain silent for a while, this gives time for the guests to respond. There is nothing worse than cracking a joke to a room of 100 people and only 5 people laugh. Speaking slowly and clearly is key.

3, Be the jester!... make some jokes to keep the fun alive , for instance you could say 'well it’s been an amazing day  so far and I am ecstatic to be married to *...* Exciting, Gorgeous, Sexy......yep I can see why he picked me!

4,  Have a beginning middle and end... Good public speakers or dictators start off subtle, then, get into the swing of a speech and then they close it. As long as you have the core the rest will follow. You could start by writing your speech with these 3 key ideas in mind and then build your speech up adding in the ‘thank you’s'' and any extras.

5, Slurrrrrrrriiinngggg.....This can be funny if you have had one too many, however this is your wedding day and you want to remember it , so best to hold back a little before getting too blurry eyed as your speech may pop out a little slurry and tongue tied.  Most of all, have fun and enjoy talking to your guests.
